Recipe Tofu Crisps

A very easy recipe, perfect for an aperitivo.

INGREDIENTS:

125 gr tofu

poppy seeds

sesame seeds

salt

oregano

METHOD:

Slice as thinly as possible the tofu.Then cut into triangles.

Place greaseproof paper onto a baking tray , add the tofu triangles, sprinkle with salt and the seeds . Turn over and do the same. Cook in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 - 20 minutes (until crispy). serve decorated with dried origano.

They don't keep well.

Recipe Pesto Twist

Ideal for an aperitivo . This recipe has many possibilities.

INGREDIENTS:

1 pack of puff pastry (Pasta Sfoglia ). Buitoni or Esselunga makes work well.

1 pack of pesto (or pieces of smoked salmon or raw ham or anchovies or cheese).

METHOD:

Open the packet of pastry and open out. Over one half of the pastry spread a thin layer of pesto (or whatever you are using) then fold over. Cut into long thin strips , then cut the strips in half . (or you can keep them long to use like bread sticks). Take 2 pieces and twist together . Continue until all pieces used. Line an ovenproof dish with greaseproof paper, place the twists and put in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes (until golden).

Eat immediately or store in a tin or wrapped in tin foil for a few hours .
