The activities of our club take place mainly during the day, but there are also several events in the evening. Regular activities are more limited for the summer holidays in the months of July and August, but we have recently developed a summer programme of smaller get-togethers for those who remain in town.

Main Coffee

This collective meeting takes place every second Tuesday of the month between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the Circolo Alessandro Volta, Via Giusti 16, Milan. You can join for a cup of coffee and pastry, get to know other people, sign up for the various activities of the club. For further information, please contact the Newcomers Director (tel. 338 969 1563 or e-mail newcomersbenvenuto@yahoo.com), or Barbara Cornell, the Benvenuto President: (tel. 345 211 0004 or e-mail benvenutopresident@yahoo.com).
Nursery Services are provided free of charge for toddlers.

Newcomer’s Coffee

A monthly coffee morning is planned for newcomers. This may include meeting at a cafè or a lecture on orientation to Milan.

Neighbour to Neighbour Coffees

Each month either morning or afternoon coffees are held at the homes of members in different zones of the city. They give members the opportunity to meet a smaller group of people living in the same area and to come to know them better and to learn local suppliers, cleaners etc.

Coaching

Dear members and visitors,

I would like to talk to you about a wonderful methodology called COACHING. The coaching started three decades ago in the US to train sportsmen and has nowadays invaded the professional and personal world keeping the same meaning: to develop and enhance the coachee’s performance. In other words, Coaching is the art of facilitating the unleashing of people’s potential to reach meaningful objectives.
What are the benefits of coaching?

Individuals who engage in a coaching relationship can expect to experience fresh perspectives on personal challenges and opportunities, enhanced thinking and decision-making skills, improved interpersonal effectiveness, and increased confidence in carrying out their chosen work and life roles.

Why someone might work with a coach?

There are many possible reasons that an individual might choose to work with a coach, for example :
* You just arrived in Italy, you feel lost or just want to make the best out of it but do not know how,
* You have a challenge, a stretch goal or an opportunity to tackle,
* You want to change your career orientation,
* You need to improve your communication skills,
* Work and life are out of balance and this is creating unwanted consequences,…

How does it work?
Coaching typically begins with a face to face meeting to assess the individual’s aim, to talk about the process and to check whether there is a good “fit” between the coach and client. For this reason, the first session is always free. Subsequent sessions are normally held one hour a week and can last from few months to a year depending on the client’s objective.
